Complex assembly more than 140 parts

Placement of an order for production of the front end of the Maybach as a complete module underlines the trend in the automotive industry to reduce its vertical range of manufacture and to benefit from the systems capability of specialised components suppliers.

Our implementation

• Four front end variants (RHD/LHD, each with and without special protection)
• Component development
• Die production (subsequent to prototype dies)
• Cuttings by laser in some cases (thereby reducing cost)
• Pressing of parts
• Concept of the production system
• Joining the assembly (about 2000 spot welds)
• Complete quality responsibility

The result

The front end of the super-premium category Maybach vehicle from Daimler sets new standards with regard to the installed parts and its technical complexity.

Extra

Daimler uses the experience and precision of Allgaier for producing additional demanding parts and components, in particular:

• Rear wing
• Tank flap integrated in the C-pillar
• Assembled A, B and C-pillars
• Longitudinal members, inside and outside
• Complete fuel tank

Including all assembly parts, Allgaier produces more than 250 body parts for the Maybach.
