Supplier gears itself up for the production of large forming dies with unit weights of up to 60 tonnes
Processing of new high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel materials
The Uhingen-based supplier ALLGAIER has equipped its toolmaking facility with a 30,000 kN tryout press, thus creating the basis for producing and testing large forming dies with unit weights of up to 60 tonnes and dimensions of 5000 x 2500 millimetres. "This move sees us responding to developments in the automotive industry, which now demands large body dies as well as dies for high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel materials from its suppliers," says Helmar Aßfalg, Chairman of the Board of Management. The mega-tryout press, which features the latest technology, is one of the largest die tryout presses, not only in Germany but also Europe-wide. It was officially given its classification at an inauguration ceremony.
